The Paleta Bar - Sweet, Salty, & Spicy
It has been almost a year since my last post ! As a result, I am pressing pause on my longtime projects and posting a quick review of an impulse purchase I made in the meantime. I recently visited The Paleta Bar in Midland, TX to treat myself to an indulgent snack, and boy, I was not disappointed. I came in with a photo from my friend depicting a red and white smudged plastic cup with a mysteriously coated straw sticking out of it. I didn't know what it was, but I could assume it would have the delicious combination of salty, spicy, and sweet that I appreciate from good Mexican candy. I showed the photo to the man behind the counter and he immediately knew what it was and shared what was in the cup. I ordered the paleta mangonada which I believe is the drink version of the paleta con frutas, tajin, y chamoy.
